Carer Gateway

Care2Serve delivers the Australian Government’s Carer Gateway in Tasmania.
Under Carer Gateway, Care2Serve staff provided a range of supports including carer support planning, professional counselling, peer support, and coaching. We also provided practical supports such as in-home respite, personal care, domestic assistance, and meal preparation. Care2Serve coordinated emergency support when carers were unable to provide the care that they usually do due to unexpected illness or injury.

In 2024/25, workshops and courses were delivered to support carers in their caring role, focussing on early intervention, physical and mental wellbeing, mindfulness, relaxation, first aid, mental health first aid, craft and art-based activities.

Caring for Older Tasmanians
In October 2024, Care2Serve launched Caring for Older Tasmanians, a free online resource designed to support those caring for an older person.
Created in collaboration with comedian and author Jean Kittson, a familiar voice in the carer community, this series of six interactive modules helps carers navigate aged care. The modules are easy to follow, don’t require a login, and can be accessed anytime at caringforoldertasmanians.care2serve.com.au
