CEO’S REPORT

It is a pleasure and a privilege to lead Care2Serve, an organisation that provides services and support to Tasmanian’s 87,000 unpaid family and friend carers.

In 2024/25, the staff of Care2Serve, under the management of Executive Manager Carer Services, Rachael Williamson, and Executive Manager Finance, Bill Richardson, continued to deliver essential supports and services to Tasmanian carers, while increasing the recognition of carers amongst government, service deliverers and carers themselves.

With funding provided by the Australian Government’s Carer Gateway, the Care2Serve team provided practical support to carers, including help at home, respite and one-off supports, as well as counselling, coaching and the opportunity to participate in carer support groups. The Tasmanian Government’s Home and Community Care program enabled us to deliver workshops to help carers in their caring roles, and to build their wellbeing. Care2Serve also launched a series of online modules, “Caring for Older Tasmanians”, to help carers navigate aged care.

Together, we have helped Tasmanians care for their family and friends, creating a stronger, kinder, and healthier Tasmania.

CEO’S REPORT

A word from Sam

What a fantastic first year I have had as the Chief Executive Officer of Care2Serve! Working with Executive Manager Carer Services, Rachael Williamson, and Executive Manager Finance, Bill Richardson, we led an organisation of more than 60 staff to deliver essential supports and services to Tasmanian carers, while increasing the recognition of carers amongst government, service deliverers and carers themselves.

Funding provided by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments, under Carer Gateway and the Home and Community Care program, enabled us to support carers when they needed us most, delivering workshops and retreats, in-home care and respite, coaching and counselling. Our amazing staff have delivered quality and timely services to our Tasmanian carers and connected carers with other service providers to enable them to sustain their important caring roles.

Together, we have helped Tasmanians care for their family and friends, creating a stronger, kinder, and healthier Tasmania.
